Who is Jörg Zahradnicek?

... born in 1965 in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen and after a number of trips out into other parts of the world, I've been living now in Bavaria. This is where I create and draw the Gelinis.

In 1993 I drew for the first time a bear, which was to become to basis for the Gelinis as they are today: a gummibear with the typical chubby figure and a face. Simple, but so cute that many of my friend wanted more.

Now, not only sketches but also acrylic paintings were the result, and these established the look of the Gelinis today...
